Everyday inspiration.
A native New Yorker, Amie Mays began her career as a storyteller at Nickelodeon and MTV. While at MTV, she was instrumental in developing House of Style’s digital presence, and independently produced two features including the seminal music documentary AfroPunk, which has become one of the most recognized music festivals for forward-thinking Black music.
Amie finally made her mother proud, as one of the founders of MTV’s Caribbean channel for which she created a ground-breaking teen soap, and produced two award-winning documentaries.
